Thomas and Rebecca Williams lived in Gosport, Hampshire, England in the mid 18th century. Over many years, numerous enthusiasts have researched the family history and genealogy, and yet there has been no known written material or hard evidence found prior to the mid 18th century that can verify or disprove any Williams family heritage claims or ancestry prior to Thomas.
So with that in mind, this website was begun in October 2006 with the purpose of attracting from cyberspace, information pertaining to the early family. For much of the website content I have used articles compiled by Nevil Harvey-Williams who lives in Market Harborough, England, the stamping ground of our forbears.
